Image Of Scientists In Our Mind
Hello friends, I am writing this article to change the image of scientists in our mind.
First, let us take a scientist in consideration, I ‘ll say Albert Einstien. If I ask you who he was everyone would be able to tell me. Many would reply that he was a scientist who derived the famous equation E = mc^2 and told that time was not absolute and what not else, but the real image in our mind would be that he was a person with crazy gray hairs, who wore the same clothes every day, worked the full day and did not sleep. But is this image correct?
The answer my friends is no. He did not wear the same clothes every day, he worked a considerable amount of day but not the whole day and yes sometimes he would forget sleeping when he was close to something big ( exactly the way you would forget sleeping a day before your exam ). This is the image we need to change our mind. We need to know that scientists are also humans and they only worked as much as they enjoyed life.
Next, if I were to ask you, was Einstein married? You would be scratching your head.Yes, it is a strange question but let me clear you that he WAS married, in fact, he was married TWICE. He really had an interesting personal life (please refer to book ‘Einstein: his life and universe for more ‘).
Next, how many of you think that he was a failure in mathematics and science?
I think many of you would have been told that he failed his subjects. But let me tell you: he had mastered integral and differential calculus by 15 years of age. Now think what you can.He was also much attracted by the algebra and when he reached his senior secondary education level he has developed a love towards physics.
At last, I would say that we must change our attitude towards scientists, know that they are what they are by hard work, dedication, we must think scientifically and begin our journey to something great NOW.
