Are there Devil’s Graveyards Around the World? | Vile Vortices | Part 1
Vile vortices are regions on the earth that show naturally occurring anomalous behavior. There are a total of 12 vile vortices spread equally across the Tropic of Cancer, the Tropic of Capricorn, and include the North and the South Pole. The concept of vile vortices was introduced by Ivan T. Sanderson (Scottish Biologist, Author, and Paranormal Writer). He coined the term ‘vile vortices’ referring to twelve geographic areas that have been responsible for numerous mysterious phenomena. These are still topics of debate for many researchers. There is no static answer to the questions related to them and that’s why this is one of the most curious topics for many mystery lovers.
Ivan T. Sanderson, a Scottish biologist founded the Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained, and in 1972 he published an article entitled “The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around The World” in an issue of Saga Magazine. In this article, he explains how he came to discover twelve “equally spaced areas on the surface of Earth where ‘funny things happen’ “. The vortices are distributed equidistantly around the globe with five located on a latitude near the Tropic of Capricorn, five near the Tropic of Cancer, and one each at either of the Poles. Since each vortex is spread equally across the world’s surface, the entire collection of the Vile Vortices forms a geometric figure known as Icosahedron.
These vile vortices are related to many sudden and unexpected disappearances of aircraft, ships, submarines, and people without any trace; abrupt malfunctioning of radio, compass, and other technical devices; high electromagnetic field in these parts than anyplace else on the planet and other anomalous phenomena.
Vile Vortices located across the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn and excluding the North and the South Pole are as follows:

- The Bermuda Triangle
- Mohenjo-Daro
- The Devil’s Sea (Also known as the Dragon Triangle)
- Hamakulia (Hawaii)
- The Megalithic Ruins of Algeria
TROPIC OF CAPRICORN:
- The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA)
- The Megaliths of Zimbabwe
- Wharton Basin
- Hebrides Trench (Fiji Islands)
- The Easter Islands
Location of 10 Vile Vortices except for North and South Pole:
Their equal distribution across the globe and geometric figure they depict together “Icosahedron” is in itself is a mystery. Many proposed theories are that these vile vortices may be linked to “subtle matter-energy”, “ley lines”, or “electro-magnetic aberration” and others fictionally assume that these anomalies may open a wormhole, a portal to a different dimension.
